On Saturday, August 21, 2004, Mary Green and I, along with James and Ingrid Moriarty, set out on the annual pilgrimage to the Black Rock Desert with Bam Bam and Betty. Twenty miles east of Omaha, our Burning Man plans were interrupted a bit, as Betty and Bam Bam ended up in the ditch. We regrouped, however, and soldiered on, making the best of the situation.
